LARG*net and our affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively ”Company”, or “we”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.
The LARG*net Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) contains a statement of principles and guidelines concerning the requirements for the protection of personal information provided by the Company to its customers.
This Privacy Policy describes how the Company collects, uses, discloses, and protects the personal information of our Members, End Users, and Network Users (”you”), describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the website www.largnet.ca (our “Website”) or our Network (as defined in the Master Services Agreement and Fibre Access Services Agreement) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing such information.
The Company will only use your personal information in accordance with this policy unless otherwise required by applicable law. We take steps to ensure that the personal information that we collect about you is adequate, relevant, not excessive, and only used for limited purposes.
Privacy laws in Canada generally define “personal information” as any information about an identifiable individual, which includes information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person. Personal information does not include business contact information, including your name, title, or business contact information.

The Company is responsible for the personal information under its control. We have designated a Privacy Officer who endeavours to make certain that we are compliant with the privacy principles.

The use of products or services by a customer, constitutes implied consent for the Company to collect, use and disclose personal information for identified purposes.
We may share your personal information with our affiliates and select third parties to promote other products and services if you consent or if the law so permits. The Company shall protect the personal information disclosed to third parties through confidentiality agreements and outlining the purposes for which the personal information is to be used for.

The collection of personal information will be limited to that which is necessary to provide necessary telecommunications services to our Customers. The Company will always collect personal information by fair and lawful means.

The Company only discloses or uses your personal information for the reasons it is collected. The company only uses it for the purposes you have consented to, or when it is required or allowed by law.
The Company provides information to:
a) Affiliates and other parties we work with to administer the products and services we provide;
b) Authorized employees, agents, and representatives who need the information to complete their duties for us;
c) Any person or organization you give consent to;
d) People who are legally authorized to view your personal information;
e) Service providers who need this information to perform their services for us. Examples of the services include: data processing, programming, data storage, market research, printing and distribution services, and investigative agencies; and
f) People, organizations, and investigative bodies who work to prevent, detect, or investigate suspected fraud, breaches of agreement, or contravention of law.
The Company keeps your personal information for as long as we are required by law and guidelines set for the telecommunications services industry.

Personal information used by the Company shall be sufficiently accurate, complete and up-to-date to minimize the possibility that inappropriate information may be used to make decisions regarding your use.

We use appropriate measures in order to protect and safeguard your personal information from intrusion, release, or misuse. The Company will make all reasonable efforts to make sure the personal information you have provided to the Company is protected. The Company uses physical, organizational, and technological safeguards to protect against viruses and cyberattacks. We store all information you provide to us behind firewalls on our secure servers.
Openness
The Company makes all efforts to make information about its Privacy Policy available to you.
Accessing your information
You have the right to access and verify your personal information that we keep in our files. You may also request corrections to the information, if appropriate. There may be a charge for the personal information you request. Please contact the Company’s Privacy Officer for further information.
